Each year on March 1, Aripa Arte holds our annual Mărțișor Gala celebration. Thank you to everyone who donates, attends the Gala, and purchases art in our silent auction. It is a wonderful evening, and a successful fundraiser for our nonprofit.

Gala Art Auction
We are so fortunate to be working with a variety of wonderful Romanian artists for our first Gala auction. It is an honor to have met these talented creators, and we can't wait to work with them in the future. Some of the artwork sold in this year's Gala auction included:
Ingrid Pescaru: Graduatred from the Master's painting program at the Art University in Bucharest, though she has been painting all her life.
Denis Nanciu: Is a sculptor, painter, illustrator, jewelry maker, designer, and graphic artist. He has exhibited in Bulgaria, Germany and the USA.
Dan Stancu: Currently works in IT, but he has painted and drawn his whole life. He attended an intensive art school, which included international opportunities to learn and to teach art.
Eugen Demeterca: Works in television, but is also a digital artist, sculptor, painter, photographer and works in AI. He teaches art to young people, and is the founder of a collage art group in Bucharest.
Marina Martyrosian: Is a painter, and is currently in Romania as a refugee from the war in Ukraine. She traditionally paints in oil, but is currently working with watercolor.
Domnica Sibianu: Is a certified iconographer in Bucharest who paints sacred icons in reverse on glass. Glass iconography is a folk tradition that developed in Transylvania.
Iulian Copacel: Is a titular member of the Union of Visual Artists of Romania, and has exhibited his work all over Romania and abroad. His distinct style highlights the beauty of line, movement and composition.
Laura Partin: Is a contemporary artist who explores various drawing techniques. She received her PhD in Fine Arts at the Paris 8 University.
